This is an Anniversary tribute
To show that we care
To our dear friends (parents),
(John and Kath) A very special pair

On (May 7) in ('57)
John and Kath said "I do"
Joined together for all those years
That's mighty powerful glue (Oh how the years just flew)

Cos Fifty seven to O seven
That's 50 years all told
If marriage was an Olympic sport
They'd have got themselves a gold

Once wed they soon had troubles
Evelyn and Jim to name but two
Jack made it triple trouble
So they quit....well wouldn't you?

Seriously tho, proud parents to three children
Grandparents to five more
Who visit the "(Jackson) Bakery"
It's Gran's cooking they all adore

Kath likes to shop for England
And loves wine, that's true
While John slopes off to the Dog and Gun
To sup a pint or two

(He catches fish - she drinks like one) (They both love holidays etc)
It's a match that couldn't be better
While Kath slogs to keep the place clean
John is happy to let 'er

(Still very active) (Such a really lovely couple)
And rarely seen apart
They're teenage geriatrics
(Modern and young at heart) (They're still just kids at heart)

We can reveal that John's 85
That's a well known fact
Telling Kathy's age would be a breach
Of the Official Secrets Act

This is a very insulting tribute
But take it in good heart
Congratulations (Mum and Dad) (John and Kath)
You've reached Gold together..apart
