In idle moments I write poetry, rhymes, doggerel, ... always have and about two and a half years ago, I created this website.
I had become aware of a poems website, which claimed the owners lived off the income generated by their Google Ads. Their website was hosted by Site Build It (SBI) so I investigated and to cut a long story short I coughed up $299 (or $29.99 per month) to SBI and started building this poems website.
Part of my research revealed how many ordinary people are so inspired to do what I'm doing now. I'm selling you something I'm crazy about.
I'll be straight with you. They pay me an affiliates fee if you join but I don't do it for that. I feel I have won a huge lottery because I built an SBI site and within a couple of years I was earning more than I've ever earned before.
Note, "within a couple of years". This is not instant gratification but oh boy! it's real. Take a look at this. This is one of hundreds out there and this video earns the maker nothing, zero, zilch. It was done for much the reason as this page has been created
I had a trickle of visitors at first but one year on I was getting 3000 visits per day and now it's 6000 visits per day. I am confident that in 12 to 18 months from now I will be able to report that the daily traffic is 10,000....that's over 3.5 million hits per year. Through adverts on the site, traffic = income
