food poems for children
Funny food poem #1

I once fell in love with a mermaid
I loved her, she loved me
I said "oooh I could eat you"
So I did, for my tea
...with chips

and tomato ketchup poured from the bottle
first just a little bit
and then an awful lottle

funny eating poem #2 by Spike Milligan

A thousand hairy savages
Sitting down to lunch
Gobble, gobble, glup, glup
Munch, munch, munch

Funny poem about food #3

Wrenkled Strin is just like rice
'Cept it's painted pink and blue
It doesn't taste quite as nice
But it's much prettier

Funny Children's food poem #4

I always eat my peas with honey;
I've done it all my life.
They do taste kind of funny
but It keeps them on my knife

Food Nursery Rhyme #5

Little Jack Horner sat in the corner,
Eating a Christmas pie:
He put in his thumb, and pulled out a plum,
And said, "What a good boy am I!

Celery, raw
Develops the jaw
But celery, stewed
Is more quietly chewed

Knock Knock
who's there?
Lettuce...
Lettuce who?
Lettuce in and we'll tell you!

Funny Kid's poem about food #8

Little Johnny lived in the country
So dinner guests were few
When, one day, some did arrive
He knew just what to do

He brought in the first piece of pie
He was just little, and doing his best
He handed it to his Dad
Who passed it to a guest

Johnny came in again
And put another pie piece down
Dad picked it up
And passed it to Mrs Brown

Johnny got vexed,"I see what you're doing",
He said, with tears in his eyes
"But you're wasting your time, Dad
They're all the same size!"

#9

A man walks into his doctor's office.
With a cucumber up his nose,
A carrot in one ear, and a banana..
...you'll guess where, I suppose

"This can't be normal,
What's the matter with me?"
His doctor says "You're not eating properly...
... as far as I can see"

#10

Why I wonder
Is a tomato round and red?
Because if it was long and green
It would be a cucumber instead

What did the tomato
Say to the potater?
You go on ahead
And I’ll ketchup later!

Then the tomato blushed
No kidding, no messing
Do you know why?
It saw the salad dressing!

If I saw a hiccup
What color would it be?
That's a good question
Burple, perhaps, maybe

Divide 18 potatoes among 6 people
The exam question read
Boil them and mash them!
That's what I said

The big corn looked down
And patted the baby corn's head
I'm ever so proud
To be a popcorn, he said
